God employs the people of this world to:
    • Sanctify those who belong to Him
    • Test and build our personal character
    • Test and grow us through suffering
    • Test and mold us to be like Christ in returning good for evil
    • Test and prove our devotion to Him

A Journey Through the Old Testament - Jacob's Sanctification

    Sanctification is:
    • The process of God recreating us into the image of Christ
    • Unavoidable for the true believer in Christ
    • The product of having a past, present, and future view of the grace of God in your life
    • Produced in the inner man
      • but tested and grown by our response to the outer world

Irreversible Truths of the Law of Sowing and Reaping
    1. Whatever a man sows, he will reap
    2. The kind that we sow is the kind that we will reap
    3. The law of S&R is both negative and positive
    4. We reap MORE than we sow
    5. Sowing is reactive – it is responding to a desire
    6. When we sow to the flesh, we are deceived
    7. We reap in proportion to how much we sow
    8. Sowing and Reaping are in different seasons - reaping comes in God’s appointed season
    9. The cross is proof that the law of S&R is fixed
    10. The Gospel does not remove the law of S&R - it switches the roles of the sower and reaper - we reap what Christ has sown - He reaped what we have sown
    11. God uses the law of S&R to discipline His children
    12. We reap a harvest of “fruit” - fruit has seed which will start S&R over again
