There are 4 Possible Fulfillments of Haggai’s Prophecy:
1. Herod’s rebuilding of this temple made it more glorious than Solomon’s.
2. Jesus was consecrated there and worshipped there.
3. Christ Himself is the glorious second temple fulfillment.
– His body was a temple where a Holy God dwelt among men.
4. Christ’s Church is the final fulfillment of the Lord’s temple.
– When Christ ascended, the Church is now the dwelling place of God.
– Jesus Christ is the precious Cornerstone…and we are each living stones that make up His temple.
