A Journey Through the Old Testament – Jacob’s Wives
Irreversible Truths of the Law of Sowing and Reaping
- Whatever a man sows, he will reap
- The kind that we sow is the kind that we will reap
- The law of S&R is both negative and positive
- We reap MORE than we sow
- Sowing is reactive – it is responding to a desire
- When we sow to the flesh, we are deceived
- We reap in proportion to how much we sow
- Sowing and Reaping are in different seasons
– reaping comes in God’s appointed season - The cross is proof that the law of S&R is fixed
- The Gospel does not remove the law of S&R
– it switches the roles of the sower and reaper
– we reap what Christ has sown
– He reaped what we have sown - God uses the law of S&R to discipline His children
- We reap a harvest of “fruit”
– fruit has seed which will start S&R over again
