Three Clarifications of Justification:
- All religions seek justification in one of two ways
– by the work and effort of man
– by the work and effort of God - Justification is a work of God
– it is the opposite of condemnation
– it is being pardoned for all sin and guilt
– it is being declared legally righteous and accepted - Faith is the only instrument for justification
– faith in Jesus Christ
– it is Christ who saves us – faith places us in Him
